Steel Dust
2009 People Doing Business Series Woman On The Move Snapshot
Written by Aubrey Williams
“During the midst of a life altering situation; an existence, that left me in a place, where my spirit lost its sound. I found myself on a broken road searching for the answers, I sought to learn. Walking the road alone, with no faith, I had only one layer of my foundation to stand on, the solitude of my family. However, the only place my family could be found was in the depths of my heart. For, they no longer existed in this life. Never being a spiritual person, I had but one path to follow; and that journey lead me to the Lord. From that moment on, I learned the true meaning of 'turn the other cheek', to survive the tornado, I had to find the calm in the center of the storm, and ride out the turbulence.”~ Steel Dust
Steel Dust holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts and is the author and publisher of thirty-nine books! Her most recent masterpiece entitled “The Hourglass of el Diablo” is the latest book to be added to her repertoire - a collection of writings for equestrian enthusiasts, children and women! And although her catalog comprises a multitude of topics, it is her books regarding Domestic Abuse, “Life Chronicles” that are most compelling.
It may be apparent to some that 'Steel Dust' is a pen name and for most, seem insignificant; however, in this case, why she uses it, is of the utmost importance, as it sheds light into a despairing and perpetual problem. Once, a victim of domestic violence; 'Steel Dust' writes under a pen name in order to protect her and her son's identity, which is why their current city of residence and other specifics have been withheld. She states that “Four years ago after a big fight with my ex-husband, the Lord drew me to church, until then I was never really a faith filled person. I believed in God but that was about it. That night changed my life. I can write like I do because of the Lord, He has shown me the world living in His Word alone, and not mans.”
Dust began writing in 2007 and in May of 2009 began her own company, HS Publishing. Reaching far beyond publishing, Dust flourishes in journalism. Her foremost goal in writing and in creating HS Publishing is to empower the reader and remind us of our objective; to discover our “DNA” (Dynamic Natural Abilities). “The true reason I was guided to use the pen and write, was to touch the lives of those directed into my path and help lead them into greatness” she states.
Dusts' present goal is to write one-hundred books and open up a bookstore, “Novel's by Steel Dust”, Christian Chronicles.
“Do you have a story that needs to be written on paper, but the inspiration to write that story is locked away in the diary of your mind? Please contact us, and see how we can guide you along your path to finding your DNA (Dynamic Natural Abilities). The world we live in can sometimes sour the true visions of our lives, and the source in which it comes from. When this happens, the person you were meant to be cannot come forth. Do not allow the idea that becoming an author, entrepreneur, or successful individual is a reality for someone else! It is time to make that reality come true for you, success must start from within.” - Steel Dust for HS Publishing
